Check out this new report that I've completed at Aberdeen Group (published February 14, 2007). Probably most significant is that the Best-in-Class are able to get more bandwidth WITHOUT spending more.

We show that Best-in-Class organizations, when compared to the rest of the market had superior performance across the board, including:

  • Best-in-Class measure more service attributes on a daily or real-time basis than any other class of respondent
  • Twice as many of the Best-in-Class measure attributes on a site-by-site basis
  • 2.7 times more of the Best-in-Class rated their ability to measure ROI of the WAN as high or very high
  • 94% of the Best-in-Class rated their organizations’ WAN knowledge as high or very high, compared to 48% for others.

In particular this benchmark report reviews the operational characteristics of the WAN and the strategic imperatives in optimizing the asset for business advantage.
