Skype is more than an application and service. It is an ecosystem of 200 hardware participants, 1000 developers and over 10,000 affiliates selling the service. They've built a showcase of plugins, application profiles and CRM software vendors with integrated Skype capabilities.

You might not have known this, but 30% of Skype users use the VoIP platform for business purposes, and half of those belong to companies with less than ten employees.
