Voicecon 2008 was full of lots of [[Unified Communications]] announcements and products and agreements. 

RADVISION hit the show with an announcement of their interoperability with Alcatel-Lucent's OmniTouch My Teamwork conferencing and collaboration application. Based on [[SIP]], the My Teamwork integration extends features for Alcatel-Lucent enterprise customers like presence-based calling, ad hoc, reservationless, and scheduled audio and web conferencing, secure IM. Now, it integrates the RADVISION Scopia PC video conferencing application environment to create a peer-to-peer video collaboration service so employees can engage PC video conferencing with single-click access to a range of communication services including conferencing with and among HD, SD and PC end points.

The integration requires the RADVISION SCOPIA conferencing server. The platform is now supported in integrating with

• Alcatel-Lucent OmniTouch My Teamwork
• IBM Lotus Sametime
• Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 and
• Cisco Unified Videoconferencing.

Up until now, RADVISION has relied on OEM relationship with Cisco, LifeSize and others. They are now expanding its product interoperability certifications as part of an effort to build up its channel infrastructure and demonstrate its relevancy and fit with other critical decision points in the enterprise UC environment. RADVISION needs to develop relationships with UC systems integrators who will need to integrate video functionalities into their customers' environments. SCOPIA has many interesting and useful features for operating video conferencing services just as users operate audio conferencing services – scheduling, password security and waiting room functionality, for example.
