Participants in our research on Email and Business Applications were asked to describe their most valuable email and the cost to the business if that message had not arrived.

$2,000,000

It explained the reasons why a certain technology acquisition request was denied.  If the technology was bought it would have cost the above amount (including maintenance) and would have duplicated on something the company already had to address the same need.
